This field guide was created in collaboration with Dr. William Livingston to help train each new cohort of University of Maine Masters of Forestry students who conduct the majority of the measurement work.
This report provides an analysis of the first year’s data collected in 2025, a synthesis of our findings, and additional context and considerations gathered from other researchers and agencies.
